What to tell players before a team sport game

Are you the team manager or coach for your child's sports team? Is the big game tomorrow? Make sure your players and parents have ALL the information they need to successfully attend the game. E-mail the following information to the players and parents 2 days before each game - everything in one e-mail - so they can just print it & bring with them.

  • arrival time for practice
  • cell phone #s of coaches, team mom, team manager
  • color of jersey/uniform that week
  • directions
  • field address
  • field name
  • game date
  • game day (day of the week)
  • game time
  • how long it will take to drive there (estimated) from practice field, or from where most of team lives
  • opponent team name
  • volunteer assignments that week
  • weather forecast
  • weather phone #
  • web site for game day changes or announcements
  • what parent/family might want to bring (chair, sunscreen, jacket)
  • what to bring
  • who is in charge of snacks that week
